Order of Minims

Founded in Italy

Ended in France

The order of Minims was founded as a Roman Catholic Order. The name refers to them as "the least of all religions". They in themselves were very modest. As the order progressed all the leader of Europe granted them freedom as a religious order. The order did not have rules until 57 years after it was founded. The order had many different people including, Louis Feuillee, Marin Mersenne, and Charles Plumier. However after the French Revolution the order began to decline and was never able to come back as a flourishing religion.
