Hindu- Arabic Numeral System
The Hindu-Arabic numeral system is a decimal numeral system
that was first documented in India no later then the 9th century.
The Hindu-Arabic numeral system was introduced to the western
side of the world by mathematicians. These symbols can be
divided into three main families. The West Arabic numerals which
are used in Europe, the Eastern Arabic numerals in Egypt and
the Middle East, and last of the families is Indian numerals which
are used in India (wikipedia.org).
