Kurt Godel was born in Vienna in 1906. He had an average life growing up, with his brother, mom, and dad.He was, however, paranoid about his health. He had had rheutemic fever when he was young and knew that a weak heart was a possible complication from it. After that,he was conviced that he weak heart. All through school he got excellent grades, and it was rumored in high school latin that he made not one grammatical error.

When older, he gave a series of lectures at Princeton University on mathmatical theory. His most impressive work, however, is his work on axioms. He proved that any axiom is neither consistent nor complete. He also proved that any consistent formal system that uses axioms in arithmatic must be incomplete. This is known as Godel's incompleteness theorems. He also did work on the theory of realtivity with Einstein, with whom he was close friends. He died of starvation in 1978.  Several of his lectures from Princeton are now published.
